Additionally, with the sale of MT Vinland in July, an era has come to the end. The vessel was sold to Dido Steel Corporations S.A. in Aliaga, Turkey, for recycling. For many years, the 125 000 tdw shuttle tanker, built in 2000, transported oil from the Grand Banks to shore terminals in Newfoundland. Thereafter the vessel operated for Petrobras in Brazilian waters for 7 years, and from 2018, MT Vinland operated for Equinor in the North Sea.
