Equinor declared option on MT Vinland term contract
Equinor AS have declared a 6 months option (ending in November 2019) on the present Equinor term contract (from January 2018), with further options until August 2020.
PSV Evita has been awarded a 3-month contract plus options with Aker BP ASA commencing directly after completion of present scheduled docking program, estimated 7-8th July.
Statoil ASA has today awarded Ugland Offshore AS a new contract for the PSV Juanita for a firm period of 3 years plus 3 x 1 options commencing June 2018.
Ugland Supplier AS’ newest platform supply vessel Juanita won the “Support Vessel of the Year” award for 2015. The award was presented at the Annual Offshore Support Journal Conference at a Gala Dinner in London 18 February 2015.
Launched and named at Tsuneishi’s Cebu yard on 16 June this year, the TESS58 type supramax bulk carrier MV Lunita was delivered on 17 September and entered into a short-term TC to Louis Dreyfus Commodities Suisse S.A., Geneva.
UR 108 (91 x 27 x 6 m), built in 1985, was recently sold to Canadian Buyers, to be used for the Hebron project. The formal takeover took place on 27 June 2014.
On 23 June 2014, Ugland Shipping AS signed a contract with Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., Japan for the construction of two 63,000 dwt bulk carriers for delivery in 2017.
A launching and naming ceremony of newbuilding SC219 from Tsuneishi Heavy Industries, Inc., Cebu took place at Tsuneishi’s Cebu yard on Monday 16 June. Godmother Hanne Lund - JJUC chairman Jørgen Lund’s wife - named the vessel Lunita.
Basking in brilliant spring sunshine the champagne bottle hit PSV Juanita’s ship’s side when the vessel was named at Leirvik quay at Stord on 20 May this year.
In line with the ongoing company strategy to renew the bulk carrier fleet the LIVANITA, as the oldest vessel in the bulker fleet, has been sold and recently delivered.
It is with great relief that we just recently received news and can report that only 16 of our crew families have suffered material damages only. No casualties or fatalities have been noted.

Ugland Marine Services has implemented OHSAS 18001 certification received July 2013
The Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS 18001) Standard has been implemented providing a recognizable occupational health and safety management system against which the management systems have been assessed and certified. (Certificate received in July 2013.)
Seven JJUC employees were recently honoured with a silver plate with inscription and a diploma for impressing 40 years of faithful service to the company.
During the traditional Christmas Lunch held on 22 December last year three loyal employees received their well-deserved awards for long and faithful service.
