In December last year four loyal Ugland employees received their well-deserved awards for long and faithful service.
SILVER PLATE / DIPLOMA was awarded to chief engineer Ole Martin Neset. This award is presented to employees that have completed 40 years’ of employment in Ugland companies with good behaviour and committed service.
THE NORWEGIAN SHIPOWNERS’ ASSOCIATION’s GOLD MEDAL was awarded to ship’s mechanic Tore Andreas Strand and fleet manager Eivind Rørvik.
The Norwegian Shipowners’ Association’s gold medal is a highly ranked award. Marine personnel eligible for the gold medal must have served for more than 30 years in the Shipowners’ Association’s membership companies, at least 20 of which onboard and 15 completed in the same company. The candidate must have carried out his work to the full satisfaction of his employer and exhibited irreproachable behaviour and high moral standards, both on and off duty.
NORGES VEL’s MEDAL was awarded to senior purchaser Øyvind P. Larsen. The main criterion for this award is loyalty to the same employer for at least 30 years. Impeccable behaviour during the entire service is another self-evident requirement.
The owner, Knut N.T. Ugland, president Øystein Beisland and chairman Jørgen Lund thanked the awardees for their loyalty and contribution throughout all these years.
